CAMP PHILOSOPHY

Come spend an exciting evening with the Ashland University Cheer and Dance Teams! This clinic is open to grades Pre-K through 4 on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Activities include learning a festive dance and two chants, face painting, crafts, and photos with Tuffy. Cost is $35 per child and includes an event t-shirt and 2 FREE tickets to the AU Basketball game on Saturday, December, 14, 2024.

Participants will perform the dance and chants learned at the clinic at half-time of the AU Women's Basketball game on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m, 3:00 p.m..

CAMP DETAILS

• COST: $120.00 for January 5
• GOAL: To provide a one-day clinic geared towards fun and technical understanding of individual events. Each will have quality instructors, many who have coached of attained All-American status at the NCAA level.
• EQUIPMENT: Bring event shoes. Pole vaulters are encouraged to bring their poles, some will be available for beginners. Throwers are encouraged to bring their own implements (we have limited boys implements).

CLINIC DESCRIPTION

• This camp is designed for grades 5th – 12th, or age 11 and up. Groups limited to 8-12 participants, with four to six instructors per group. Focus on individual instruction of hitting and/or pitching fundamentals.

• Trophies awarded to all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. Special awards for Best Choreography, Best Tumbling Sequence, Most Spirited, and Grand Champions per session.

The Ashland Area Chorus is a mixed chorus directed by Dr. Ron Blackley, and is open to community members and Ashland University students. The group rehearses on Mondays from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in Room 242 of the Center for the Arts, 331 College Ave., and performs each semester. Rehearsals begin August 26. The group rehearses on Tuesdays from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm in Room 115 of the Center for the Arts, 331 College Ave, and performs each semester. Rehearsals begin TBA.
